Known as a specialist for all kinds of slide- and steel guitars like pedal steel, lap steel, Dobro and Weissenborn he also sings and plays guitar, bouzouki, banjo and mandolin.
Throughout the last 30 years he worked on stage and in the studio with artists like Chris Jones, Carl Carlton’s Songdogs, Heinz Rudolf Kunze, Fury in the Slaughterhouse, Reinhard Mey, Herman van Veen, Stoppok, The Land, Sara K., Martin Gallop and Wohnraumhelden, to name just a few.
He runs his own little „Silvertone“ studio in Hannover / Germany.

As a result of being a musical instrument nerd as well, Martin also works for Duesenberg Guitars and besides doing all the photography work for the company, he designed and co-developed all Duesenberg lap steel models and some very innovative steel guitar related hardware units like the „Multibender“ and the „easy shift“ lap steel capo.
